Data deletion request

How to have your account and game data deleted — in-app in a few taps, or by email if you no longer have the game installed.

Last updated 28 September 2026

You can have your data deleted at any time, and you do not have to give a reason. There are two routes.

Option 1 — delete it in-app (immediate)

This is the fastest route and takes effect straight away. In games with accounts, such as Sketchy Friends:

  1. Open the app
  2. Go to Settings (the gear icon)
  3. Under Account, choose Delete Account
  4. Confirm at the prompt

Deletion is processed immediately. It cannot be undone, so make sure it is what you want before confirming.

Games without accounts

Games like Stewry have no account at all. Their save data is stored anonymously, and uninstalling the game severs the link between that data and your device — after which the remaining records cannot be traced back to you. For most players, uninstalling is the whole process.

Option 2 — email us (within 30 days)

If you have already uninstalled the game, or cannot reach the in-app option, email deletion-request@brokenumbrellagames.com.

Because accounts are anonymous by default, we usually cannot look you up from an email address alone. To let us find the right records, include whatever of the following you can remember:

  • The game and the platform you played it on
  • The in-game currency you had available
  • The last action you remember performing
  • Any in-app purchase you made, and roughly when
  • Your display name, if you set one

Email requests are typically processed within 30 days. We will confirm by reply once it is done.

Please do not include passwords or payment card details in your email. We never need them.

What gets deleted

Deleted immediately, and not recoverable:

  • Your account and profile information
  • Game progress, currency, battle pass status and cosmetics
  • Your friends list
  • Content you created in-game
  • Custom analytics tied to your account

What we have to keep

Two narrow exceptions, both required rather than chosen:

  • Purchase and transaction records, retained where tax law and fraud prevention require it. These are held by the storefront that processed the payment.
  • Anonymised, aggregated statistics — counts and averages that are no longer linked to any individual and cannot be used to identify or re-identify you.

Requests we may decline

We reserve the right to reject a request that appears to be an attempt to delete someone else's data. If we cannot verify a request but it appears to be made in good faith, we will delete or obscure as much of the relevant data as we safely can, and tell you what we did.

Anything unclear?

Deletion requests go to deletion-request@brokenumbrellagames.com. For anything else — including questions about this process before you commit to it — contact@brokenumbrellagames.com or the contact page.

The privacy policy sets out what we collect in the first place.
